Birthdays
By: DavidBoggus on February 9, 2010
This past weekend we celebrated Tommy's and Josh's birthdays. Its hard to beleive that they are already 3 years old. I'll put pictuers of both parties up on Friday if I can get the pictures from all of the different sources. Later this month we have Jessicas birthday and then next month Benji and Mandy have birthdays.

I just read this really interesting script idea that my friend Dustin wrote. It is a little crazy and if there is a sequel to Avatar it will most likly not come anywhere close to this but it was still fun to read. Check it out at http://www.westaby.net/2010/01/avatar-sequel-scripts.html

The past few years have been really busy for me and I have not posted much on this website. 2010 looks like it is going to be just as busy with me going back to school, however I plan to work more on this site. As I posted a while back, I am currently working on a redesign of this site. I have most of the basic functionality working but I still need to workout some of the Admin functionality. I hope to keep up on the photo gallery and if I ever get enough time I would really like to be able to write a new version of dbMenu. Here is the order in which my plans will progress.
- Continue to post atleast 2 times per month and add photos to the gallery within a week of the event.
- Continue to work on the new version of this site and rework the dbProjects site so the layout displays properly in all browsers.
- Once the new version of this site is completed I will begin working on dbMenu and perhaps some of the other javascript projects I have on the back burners.
So there you have it, my 2010 New Year Resolution for this site.

I went to go see Avatar in 3D today. It was great. The special effects were really well done. The 3D is done in a way that makes it unobtrusive. They do a really good job of using the 3D where it works well and not overusing it like most other 3D movies I have seen. There is one point in the movie where the main characters are walking through the jungle and there are bugs flying around and I wanted to swat at them because it felt so real. The story is good, nothing really original but good. It is defiantly worth going to see it in 3D while you can because I don't think that it would be the same in 2D.
Anyone who has gone to see movies in 3D before and didn't like having to wear the colored glasses, this is not the same. It uses new technology that makes the 3D experience much better. You do still have to wear special glasses but they are more like sunglasses with tinted polarized lenses. I noticed them at the very beginning but after about a minute it was like this is what movies are supposed to look like. I can't wait for more good movies to come out in 3D.
